Welcome to Groom: an award-winning, family-run tailors and suit retailer in the North West.

We understand how a suit can make you feel, particularly the right suit. That’s why we opened our doors in the 1990s to offer a bespoke suit hire and purchase experience without the expensive price tag to match. Our goal is to make high-quality suits available to everyone, so you can feel confident and ready for any formal event.

Over the years, we’ve developed a strong reputation that we aspire to maintain.

Our Story

Groom began with the opening of our first store in Warrington over 30 years ago in 1993. We had a vision – to make the suit hiring and buying process stress-free and easy. Thanks to our experienced tailors, our expert guidance and our ability to lend a helping hand, we’ve made this possible.

Following the success of our Warrington store, we went on to open Groom Liverpool in 2003, located at the stunning Wedding House near the Baltic Triangle, and Groom Chester in 2008.

Our state-of-the-art warehouse allows us to stock a huge range of specially sourced suits and accessories to meet all style and fit requirements. Although we are based in the North West, we can supply suits nationwide and even abroad.

Our Ethos

We believe part of our success is down to our attention to detail. At Groom, we believe any suit should look custom-tailored and as special as the event it’s worn at. Our focus is on providing our customers with the best and most positive shopping experience.

Exceptional and personalised customer service is at the heart of what we do. You’ll receive time with our experienced sales coordinators to discuss your specific requirements and ideas. They will work with you to achieve your desired look for any wedding or formal event (including christenings, race days, prom nights, graduations and more).

How We Work

We advise that you have two appointments with us.

The initial appointment involves browsing our range of luxury suits and making a final decision. You should bring along just one other member of your wedding party (whether it be your fiancé(e), best man, mother or someone else entirely). This appointment should ideally take place as early as possible and will allow you to discuss your ideas with our sales coordinators. While our website is designed to showcase certain collections, we can offer a much wider bespoke advisory service and further options at the initial appointment.

At the second appointment, you’ll need to bring along your entire wedding party, or anyone who’s having a hired/bespoke suit. We will take precise measurements to ensure each suit fits like a glove. This appointment can take place nearer the time of the wedding day.

We will then notify you when your suits are ready for collection. This may be a few days before the wedding.

Suits were lovely,  my husband and all the groomsmen looked amazing, suits well tailored. The ladies made sure we had enough fittings to get them right. Prices weren’t cheap but you get what you pay for in my eyes. Suit fittings were all perfect & overall customer service second to none! I’ll definitely be returning & I highly recommend this shop to anyone who asks in the future!

It's that time of year for teens to let their hair down following their GCSEs and attend Prom....looking at my tall, lean 16 year old thinking where can I go to get him a decent suit that will be good quality and last, for him to wear to his first job interview, perhaps.

We popped by Groom in Warrington and the ladies were only to happy to help. They supported with measurements and shirt collar sizes, it's not easy being 6ft 8 at 16! Discussed options with us down to the last detail cuff links, ties, pocket squares, shoes the list is endless. Nicci was fantastic listening to what my son wanted and asked how he felt throughout the appointment. Jodie was a buddle of energy zipping about the store throwing in suggestions.  They are the dream team. So if you are still looking for that perfect suit, that's the perfect fit, I strongly recommend a trip to Groom, Warrington.
