Nick proposed to Iona in New York in 2018 and they began planning right away. They knew they wanted to take advantage of the amazing views in Saddleworth where Iona has lived all of her life, and also to give the day a personal touch. The couple live just minutes from Well-i-Hole Farm which provided the stunning backdrop and a Tipi was the perfect choice, provided by Timber & Canvas of Manchester http://www.timberandcanvas.com

Iona chose her dress for its dramatic design which is typical of the designer, Eva Lendel and purchased from Love Bridal in London. What can we say simply WOW……

Lets see some beautiful couple photographs ………..

A few more mentions of people who helped create such an amazing wedding for this wonderful couple.

Nick and Iona worked closely with Beth of Pink Pigeon, based in the Cake Kitchen, Uppermill, to design a show stopping 4 tier deconstructed cake including raspberry and white chocolate, lemon, Victoria sponge and chocolate layers.

They wanted to accentuate the natural beauty of the views so decided on a natural theme of green and white foliage. All of the flowers were designed by Kirsty at Harpers Floral Artistry, who worked closely with the couple to deliver a dramatic flower arch for the ceremony and flower hoop above the bar in the entry to the Tipi.

The couple wanted to ensure their guests were well fed, a 3 course wedding breakfast was served by Baba Ganoush catering of York chosen for their generous portions, attention to detail and excellent locally sourced dishes. Stonebakers of Wigan served pizzas for the evening guests. There was unlimited free drinks available and the bar was staffed by three fantastic local barmen and women with Donkeystone Brewery in Greenfield providing their superb Cotton Clouds pale ale.

Magician, Christopher Hurst, wowed guests with magic and mind reading during the reception and dinner and the guests danced the night away with evening entertainment provided by DJ, Paul McGuire, of Wedding Jam. The day was captured by artist, Stuart Barkley, who created a stunning hand painted canvas.

Massive Congratulations again from us here at Groom Warrington – who doesn’t love a confetti shot.
